In a traditional Wiki, there are no (or few) pull down menus. Special functions like "Search" or "Recent Changes" are usually implemented through special pages like FindPage or RecentChanges.
Since the Zwiki interface (see your user preferences to set this) makes this Wiki look more like a traditional Wiki, and so there are no menus. Instead, you go to the special pages, like this one.
